Safeguarding statement
Safeguarding Children at Rainbow under
5s Playgroup
This setting is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
Safeguarding in Our setting is considered everyone’s responsibility and as such our setting aims to create the safest environment within which every child has the opportunity to achieve their Five Outcomes of every child matters. Our setting recognizes the contribution it can make in ensuring that all children registered or who use our setting feel that they will be listened to and appropriate action taken. We will do this by working in partnership with other agencies and seeking to establish effective working relationships with parents, carers and other colleagues to develop and provide activities and opportunities throughout our curriculum that will help to equip our children with the skills they need. This will include materials and learning experiences that will encourage our children to develop essential
life skills and protective behaviours
This means that we have a Safeguarding Policy and procedures in place which we refer to in our prospectus. All staff (including supply staff, volunteers and Committee) must ensure that they are aware of these procedures. Parents and carers are welcome to read the Policy It is available in the policies section on this website.
Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare.
We will ensure that our concerns about our children are discussed with
his/her parents/carers first unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child’s welfare.
